1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Protagonist Press ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. Service Description
Protagonist Press provides a personalized novel creation service. You provide protagonist details through our creation wizard, and we generate a unique, full-length novel based on those details. The finished novel is printed and shipped to you as a hardcover book.
3. Orders and Payment
All orders are processed through Stripe. By placing an order, you authorize us to charge the payment method you provide. Prices are displayed in USD and include the cost of generation, printing, and standard shipping within the United States.
Orders are non-refundable once story generation has begun, except where we determine the generated content does not meet our quality standards. In such cases, we will offer regeneration or a full refund at our discretion.
4. Intellectual Property
The generated novel content is created uniquely for you. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to the generated content for personal use. Protagonist Press retains all rights to the underlying creation technology and platform.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit the generated content without prior written consent.
5. User Content
You are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of the protagonist details you provide. You represent that you have the right to provide any personal information submitted through the Service, and that such information does not infringe on the rights of any third party.
6. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that generated content will be free of errors or meet every specific expectation, though we strive for the highest quality through our multi-stage quality gate process.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Protagonist Press shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific order giving rise to the claim.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, though any books already delivered remain yours.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
